SUMMARY:Mould: A Cheese Festival
DESCRIPTION:Hard or soft\, blue or white\, fresh or aged\, Australians love cheese. On platters\, on pasta\, between slices of bread or slathered on plywood\, we just can’t get enough. \nWe’re tapping into that love with Mould: A Cheese Festival\, a celebration of Australian cheese in partnership with Nick Haddow from Bruny Island Cheese Co. & Bruny Island Beer Co. \nThe best cheesemakers from around the country will showcase their produce at North Melbourne’s Meat Market on September 2nd\, offering free tastings\, demonstrations and relaxed\, super fun masterclasses. \nAs amazing as cheese is\, you need balance in your diet. So we’ve also got Maker & Monger\, Harper & Blohm Cheese Shop and plenty more cheese-related but not cheese-only food vendors bringing more of the good stuff. \nIt wouldn’t be a Bottle Shop Concepts event without an incredible drinks offering\, so of course there’ll be wines\, whisky\, spirits\, beers\, cider and more. And best part is you get a glass of wine with your ticket price. Plus all the cheese tastings (no tokens!!). Oh\, and an actual Plumm glass to keep forever.

We cap numbers to ensure everyone has a great time. We strongly suggest buying tickets prior to ensure you don’t miss out. \nI’ve changed my mind. Can I get a refund?\nUnfortunately refunds on tickets are unavailable. Please consider carefully before completing your ticket purchase. If you’re unable to use your tickets\, they can be transferred to another person\, provided that person also meets the age requirements of the ticket type. \nWhat do I need to bring with me to the event?\nPlease bring your ticket(s)\, either printed out or ready on email or your Eventbrite app (available on the App Store or Google Play)\, as well as photo ID for proof of age. \nWhat happens when I get there?\nOn arrival\, your ticket will be scanned and you’ll be given an Entry Keycard. This is your key to DONUT FEST\, and you can load it up with money at the festival. \nHow does this Keycard work?\nDONUT FEST is a 100% cashless event. With no cash to handle\, this helps our vendors and bar process transactions quickly\, which means more time for you to enjoy the food and drinks. It acts like a debit card where you just tap and go at each stall. The money will be deducted immediately from your card and you will be able to see your remaining balance. The whole transaction takes less than 5 seconds. \nHow can I put money on the Keycard? \nWe have two Top Up stations at the venue where you can use money or eftpos to load money onto the Keycard. It is a super fast process (faster than withdrawing money out of an ATM!). There is a no transaction fee. \nIf I don’t use all my money\, can I get a refund? \nDonut fear! Refund payments can be done online from Tuesday 22nd August (9am) to Friday 29th August (midnight). Refunds will then be processed from Monday 28th August (9am)and into your account. Just make sure you hang on to your DONUT FEST keycard as you’ll need the number printed on it to claim your refund. There is a transaction fee of $2 for online refund payments. Visit our between these dates to arrange your refund. Please note this only applies to Australian Bank Accounts only. \nMore detailed FAQS on the Eventbrite ticket link. Further enquiries please email us at eat@donutfest.com.au and we’ll get right back to you.

SUMMARY:Jamaica Independence Day Cook Out
DESCRIPTION:About Jamaica Independence \nThis year Jamaica will celebrate 55 years of independence from The British. Jamaican Knights will be throwing an all day party for this special occasion in Jamaica’s history. Here is the Jamaican story. \nOut of Many\, One People. Jamaica is one of the most diverse and colourful countries in the Caribbean. Our history\, our culture and our people have propelled this small island of just 4\,111 sq.miles to the international stage. \nJamaica is the home of one of the most popular music forms in the world\, Reggae; the home of the fastest man and woman on the track\, Usain Bolt and Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce and the home of some of the best cuisine the world has ever tasted. \nAfter the tumultuous years leading up to the abolition of slavery\, Jamaica’s transition from a British colony to full sovereignty was marked by rationality and unity. Under the stewardship of the fathers of the nation\, our heroes\, Alexander Bustamante and Norman Washington Manley\, Jamaica moved into the 20th century with full adult suffrage\, Independence and a strong sense of nationhood and identity. \nCome and celebrate and eat with us. If you missed the Jamaican Knights Pop-Up\, this is your chance to get a taste of authentic\, home-cooked Jamaican cuisine. We’ve got Ital (Rastafarian/vegetarian) dishes as well as Jerk Chicken\, and the favourite Wing-Man Jamaican Hot Wings. Add music and a family environment to soothe your soul. We have something for everybody. \nI invite you all to come and enjoy some of this music and food from this likkle island. \nThis is Jamaica.
