Dany Maia although\, innate Baiana\, yet at home\, debuted very early in the music industry and now brings to Australia what she’s got.  \nDany Maia started off her career at the age of 15 and performed alongside important artists of her homeland\, such as Margareth Menezes and Timbalada. Percussive rhythms like Samba\, Samba-reggae\, Axe\, Afro and Forró shook Dany’s leg and made her travel around Brazil\, Portugal and Spain as a professional dancer. A few years later\, her passion for this same music inspired her to remain on stage\, but now as a singer.  \nSinger Dany Maia first started playing at friends’ gigs\, then as a solo artist at bars and other venues in the nightlife of Salvador\, Bahia’s capital. Her promising career managed her some invitations to lead a few bands\, when she performed at the famous Carnivals of both Sao Paulo and Salvador. In 2004\, she produced and released her first promo album\, Danielle Maia Ao Vivo\, where four out of the twelve tracks are originals.  \nDany Maia merged all of those percussive rhythms with the classic (Bossa Nova) and the pop (Samba) of Brazil’s tunes\, making of her music the same as the place where she comes from: a cultural melting pot.

The Indonesian Women’s Friendship Network is seeking Expressions of Interest from community groups to participate in our INDONESIAN MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL OF VICTORIA 2017. This  year we have special event\, activities and festival\, everyone is welcome. We would like to promote Indonesian culture and multicultural culture. We bringing together all community in Dandenong.  \nThese event are organised by I.W.F.N. (Indonesian Women’s Friendship Network) and proudly supported by the City of Greater Dandenong\, Department of Premier and Cabinet (Multicultural Affair and Citizenship)\, Victorian Multicultural Commission and VIRWC (Victorian Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Coalition) and KJRI Melbourne (Consulate General of The Republic Indonesia).  \nThe event will include:\n• An international dress parade (community groups wearing their traditional/national dress)\n• A multicultural concert (cultural & multicultural singing\, dancing and musical groups)\n• A cultural souk (community stalls with interactive cultural activities)\n• And much more for all to enjoy and take part in. \nOutcome:\n* Promote Indonesian culture\, promote understanding and respect for diverse cultural\, linguistic and religious groups\, promote multicultural culture and sharing of different cultural experiences.\n* Engage and bring together a wide audience from the community to increase social connectedness. \nTime table :\n09.00.
