DESCRIPTION:Vintage Rail Travel is running our restored steam locomotives and vintage train to Seymour on Saturday\, 15 October 2016 to the Tastes of the Goulburn Festival. \nOur train will travel from Southern Cross to Seymour via Essendon with our steam locomotive R707. DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO 6TH MALAYSIA STREET FESTIVAL \nA FREE EVENT TO CELEBRATE ALL THINGS MALAYSIAN \nMalaysia Street Festival 2016 will portray the Street markets of the orient. Preparations are well underway for the inaugural alfresco street dining event\, taking place this October 11 in the Melbourne’s oldest heritage market setting of Queen Victoria Market. \nAs a special culinary event celebrating Malaysia Day a cultural celebration by all Malaysians\, the pop-up restaurant festival will deliver authentic Malaysian cuisine like no other with over 30 mouth-watering dishes from Melbourne’s Malaysian most authentic restaurants.On top of that visits by chefs from East Malaysia will also deliver three dishes not found in Melbourne in this one day celebration. \nExperience the best cuisine from Malaysia and our ASEAN and our former colonial powers whom colonized Malaysia\, and enjoy authentic cultural entertainment throughout the day. SUMMARY:Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Lynbrook Lake Lantern Festival is such a wonderful\, feel good community event held this Saturday 8th October 2016 from 4pm at Banjo Paterson Park (Paterson Drive Lynbrook.)   \nBring along a picnic supper\, chairs or blanket to sit on and enjoy the entertainment\, paint your lanterns and be a part of the wonderful atmosphere with our vibrant community. \nThere will be 3 free jumping castles and a free animal farm.\nFor a small fee ($3-5) kids and adults can paint a lantern (to take home) which lights up. At dusk they can take this lantern on our colourful lantern walk led by a surprise lit up friend.\nAll guests can release a floating lantern on the lake after dark (only $2\, bring a lighter we will have some)\nThere is entertainment on the stage from 4pm – 9:30pm including singers\, dancers\, karate demonstration and a band! There will be a magic show which has to be seen to be believed.  There is a stilt walker so bring your camera. At around 9pm there will be an amazing fire show with tricks never seen in Lynbrook\, a wonderful finale to our festival.   \nFun carnival food stalls including: fairy floss\, popcorn\, potato twisters\, coffee\, bbq\, Krispy Kreme donuts\, ice creams\, hot dogs and Thai food.  There will be other stalls and airbrush tattoos from $1.  Watch some teens or adults duke it out on the sumo suit mat!\nThis year’s event has something for everyone.\nFree entry – all welcome.
