SUMMARY:Winter Soul-stice | Sharing is good for the Soul
DESCRIPTION:The Winter Solstice represents not only the shortest day of the year but traditionally a time for reflection and sharing. The Fatto Cantina will be immersed in candlelight this Midwinter for a special Soul-stice dinner on Thursday 21st June. Gather a group of your favourite people and embrace the tradition of sharing; great food\, memories and happiness. \nHead Chef James Kummrow has curated a menu inspired by classic Italian dishes using seasonal Victorian produce\, referencing the fire and smoke that often accompany cold Winter evenings and featuring cured meats sure to be found hanging at Nonno’s house this time of year. \nEnjoy four courses in the beautiful\, relaxed Fatto Cantina for just $60 per person (food only). Start with snacks featuring flavours like dark ale\, smoked oil and burnt almond. Move on to the traditional pasta course showcasing Parmesan gnocchi with pork and fennel ragu\, parsley and cime di rapa (a winter green). The main course will introduce Albacore tuna – wood fired with smoked yoghurt\, roast onion\, confit grapefruit. Finish with a spiced quince and Marsala tart. The full Fatto wine list will be available and dietary requirements can be accommodated. \nTables are available from 7.30pm onwards – book online via the Fatto website (www.fatto.com.au)\, email reservations@fatto.com.au or call 8598 8800.\nWarm up this Winter at Fatto.
