Think outrageously delicious pork belly bao.\nHot Club Swing will be letting loose from 12 until 3pm and Palm Tree Paddy from Ports of Paradise fame will be spinning tunes of exotica\, bossa nova and calypso from 4 until 7pm.\nA door prize is on offer for attendees too. DESCRIPTION:The Cyprus Community of Melbourne & Victoria is proudly presenting the Halloumi Festival. \nWe would like cordially to invite everyone to join us at our annual Halloumi Festival that will showcase the most popular cheese used by restaurants today. \nThe highlight of our Halloumi Festival besides all the variety of food plates that will be available to buy from our Kantina kitchen and an assortment of wines and refreshments will be available at our Veranda corner. There will be a display of making the cheese stage by stage as it was done for centuries. It is something special to see as the secret of cheese making was transferred from generation to generation and predominantly made by women. Understanding how produce is made somehow give you a better appreciation for it. \nThe festival’s “kerasma”\, a gesture of offering a guest with handmade delights will be a tasting plate of cheese\, a glass of wine and recipe book of different halloumi dishes. \nWe would be honored if you could attend the Halloumi Festival and let us share with you what we know best about this exceptional white cheese\, and the only cheese you can cook on FIRE !!! \nENTRY FEE: $10\nCONCESSION: $5\nCHILDREN: FREE \nEntry fee includes:\n– Tasting Plate of Halloumi Dishes.\n– A glass of Wine and Recipe Booklet.\n– Music & Dancing Entertainment.
