When it comes to Asian Cuisine Melbourne has one of the most vibrant and diverse communities ever!  At Melbourne Food Festivals we’re always on the hunt for great Asian fare, and we found it at the Arts Centre as part of the Asia TOPA Festival.

But get in quick! You only have a few more days to cash in on this special treat.  Three of the city’s top Asian chefs have taken over a few of the eateries at the Arts Centre, giving visitors some of the best Asian Cuisine Melbourne has to offer.

As a community service, we checked out Café Vic, with amazing Asian café food by Jerry Mai. It was a tough gig but someone had to do it!

The menu is simple and delicious.  With snacks, Banh Mi (Vietnamese pork baguettes), as well as a selection of rice paper rolls, pho and salads, there is something for almost every Asian food fan.  We couldn’t go past the great deal (Pho and 2 rice paper rolls).  At under $20, this deal is brilliant value.

Within 5 minutes this amazing meal arrived.  Every bite of the rice paper rolls popped with authentic, delicate Asian flavours.  The Pho was generous, and so good that it was hard to stop even when feeling full!

Of course, you can’t leave without dessert (you’d understand if you saw the dessert case).  The Raspberry and Coconut tart is an experience. Quite possibly the best dessert ever made!

If you are looking for a great feed this weekend, definitely put this on one your list.  Pay a visit to the Arts Centre’s eateries, and take advantage of the Asian Cuisine Melbourne has put on offer as part of the Asia TOPA Festival. This special Asian food event finishes this Sunday, 5th March.   Be sure to check out the opening times of the eateries, as they vary!

The Asia TOPA Festival itself is running until April, with loads of different events to enjoy.  Check out their website to find out more.
