The Cyprus Community of Melbourne & Victoria is proudly presenting the Halloumi Festival.

We would like cordially to invite everyone to join us at our annual Halloumi Festival that will showcase the most popular cheese used by restaurants today.

The highlight of our Halloumi Festival besides all the variety of food plates that will be available to buy from our Kantina kitchen and an assortment of wines and refreshments will be available at our Veranda corner. There will be a display of making the cheese stage by stage as it was done for centuries. It is something special to see as the secret of cheese making was transferred from generation to generation and predominantly made by women. Understanding how produce is made somehow give you a better appreciation for it.

The festival’s “kerasma”, a gesture of offering a guest with handmade delights will be a tasting plate of cheese, a glass of wine and recipe book of different halloumi dishes.
