A Bi-ennial event, the Thorpdale Potato Festival has something for every age. Attracting 10,000 people in 2015 and handing out over a whopping $10,000 in prizes this one is a must.

Potato picking, pallet throws, potato stacking, mashed potato eating and potato displays are complemented by Sheep Dog Trials, Wood Chop, Quick Shear, Vintage Tractors, CFA demonstrations and lots more. Added to this, we have a fantastic ‘Hessians on the Field’ competition, photography competition, tug-of-war, free kids activities (sack races, jumping castles, spud and spoon races), motor cycle stunt displays and market stalls a-plenty (over 90 market stalls).

And what would a Potato Festival be without food – last year we didn’t have enough but this year the boxes are ticked with lots of delicious cuisines and of course a beer tent for dad.
