Ok, it’s almost Melbourne Food and Festival time, and what better way to get it started than a month of foodie festivities? The 150km Feast is going all out to help expand your festival season pants before you pop a button next month! Here are just some of the events:

Ice Cream Festival

Location: Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery

Cost: Free entry ($28 for hosted tasting)

Hmmm… ice cream. What’s better on a summer’s day in Melbourne than ice cream? Oh, we know what’s even better – dozens of artisan ice cream flavours, ice cream deserts, and tastings! Fair warning, though they have you covered for most allergies, this may not be the event for dairy-free and vegans foodies.

Afro-Caribbean Carnival

Afro-Caribbean Carnival

Dates: 15th

Location: Main Square and Birrarung Marr Walk

Cost: Free entry

Smell that? Coconut. Papaya. Banana. Is your mouth watering, because ours are! The Borg were right, resistance really is futile, and why would you want to try? This festival is vibrant, colourful, full of music, and full of foodie delights. Come for the free, stay for the fabulous.

moonee Valley Festival

Moonee Valley Festival 2025

Dates: 22nd

Location: Queens Park, Moonee Ponds

Cost: Free entry

It’s time again for the Moonee Valley Festival! It’s the area’s largest free community celebration and that is nothing to sneeze, right? There will be food trucks, local produce, and so many food and market stalls. Oh, and it’s family-friendly with activities to keep the kiddikins entertained too.

BeerFest2

Melbourne BeerFest

Dates: 22nd

Location: Catani Gardens, St Kilda

Cost: $38.20 (adults), $14.74 (kids) – group discounts available

Ah yes, the Beefest is back. Quinesstenailly Aussie, all the way. Though the focus is, well, beer, with the country’s best boutique craft beers, cider-makers, and distillers, they also showcase some of the best local food producers. Because never drink on an empty stomach!
