Melbourne Food & Wine Festival 2016

Melbourne Food Festivals explored the delights of the 2016 Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.

The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival 2016 was an extraordinary event that captured our tastebuds and senses over 10 days in March. The crew from Melbourne Food Festivals were out and about delighted in what the festival had to offer.

It was a wine lovers delight, with over 100 wines to choose from a variety of vineyards, mainly small to medium sized local Victorian wineries.

One of the free events on offer at the festival was the Cheese Toastie International, where prospective Cheese Toastie making experts were showing us their toasted cheese techniques.

We also loved the event, “Wine in the Dark” at the . 5 Courses all served with a different accompaning wine in which we had to guess which wine we were drinking.

The Queen Victorian Market was another great attraction that showcased Melbourne culture with it’s display of international and local delights.

Walking along the promenade at Southbank provided a fantastic atmosphere that was filled with wine, food and music. Known as the River Graze, it was a delight to walk along the Yarra and find something new at each step.

Melbourne Food Festivals is eagerly looking forward to next year’s Melbourne Food & Wine Festival so we can do it all again 🙂
