November Food Festivals
Did you feel that? We blinked, and it’s November. Crazy. But it does mean a bunch of epic foodie festivals, of course. Let’s nom nom nom into November.
VegoFest

Cost: $2 entry
It’s time for another plant foodies wonderland with VegoFest. It’s the place to be for all munchie vegetarian and vegan delights. Embrace the vegetarian values of Love, Nurture and Connect – that’s the spirit of VegoFest. While you’re munching on all the things, enjoy live music and explore stalls overflowing with wholesome vegetarian/vegan goodness. Head on down to the Old Cheese Factory, and don’t think too much about if that’s vegan irony, or not.
Indian Festival
Dates: Sunday 20th
Location: Queen Victoria Markets (C & D Sheds)
Cost: Free entry
It’s time to spice up your life again with the Indian Festival. This epic annual event is back again so lose yourself in flavours, colours, aromas and all things delectable. Get ready to feast at the Polish Festival! And this year is extra special because the Fesitival is celebrating 20 years! Pierogi so tasty, you’ll want a stash for later. Kabanosy sausages that’ll have you Oliver Twisting in your seat to beg for more. Got a sweet tooth? Try tracking down some Paczki doughnuts. Same some for us! Come hungry, leave… rolling out the door.
African Music and Cultural Festival
Dates: Friday 15th – Sunday 17th
Location: Federation Square

This epic three-day celebration is back and it’s their 10 year anniversary! Time to immerse yourself in the best of African culture right in the heart of Melbourne. Rhythms, colours, and of course, flavours everywhere! Enjoy the representation of over 35 African countries and communities. African street food stalls are ready to fill your little foodie stomachs. Can’t wait!
The Vegan Festival
Dates: Sunday 17th
Location: Seaworks Maritime Precinct, Williamstown
Cost: $6.31
November is the month for Vegan foodies to celebrate because the Vegan Festival is back. This isn’t just any foodie event though, it’s a celebration of all things plant-based and is the only 100% vegan festival in Melbourne (at least that we’ve come across). Vegan chocolate, vegan ice, vegan cakes. Even the DJs are vegan! So turn your plants away (they’ll never need to know), and head on down for a vegan spectacular.
